[ ALTERATION / ADDITION ]
An extensive alteration and addition to an existing 1950s family home.
The spatial design reconfigures and extends the lower level to create a consolidated floor plan connecting an outbuilding to the main house, and creating new and accentuated connections from inside to the outdoor living space.
We picked up on mid-centuary modernism influences in the treatment of materiality and finishes, while creating a spatial dynamic which creates a series of zones, separately functional, but connected through screens, sliding walls, and specific vistas.
